Hey there!
Thanks for keeping me in your inbox!
It can feel overwhelming when it comes to being a parent while nurturing an online business. As a mom and entrepreneur myself, I've experienced the demands of running business clashing against my desire to be fully present for my family. It's so easy to feel guilty about not spending enough time with our children generally, and that guilt is only compounded when it's your business that's receiving your attention instead.
On the other hand, we all know that each of us is likely doing our best and that we should ease up on the self-criticism. We should all cut ourselves some slackā¦ But what does that leave us with as a remedy to managing our feelings of Mom-guilt in a lasting way?
You've already learned about the importance of establishing appropriate boundaries between yourself and other people. The same concept can be applied to your work-life balance: Carve out dedicated time for working and honor that time by working in your business guilt-free. And it's equally important to carve out sacred time dedicated to spending quality time with your loved ones and creating memories without being distracted by work.
This all is easy to read and comprehend, but its execution is an entirely different beast. Making a change to your current way of doing things will require you being intentional when creating your schedule. Doing so will help you to navigate the delicate balance between business and motherhood. Whether it's scheduling regular family outings or setting aside time for personal hobbies, finding that balance is essential for maintaining your sanity and preserving your well-being.
Try to remember: you're doing an incredible job juggling the demands of motherhood and entrepreneurship. You have full permission to let go of any Mom-guilt that's weighing you down in order to fully embrace the imperfectly beautiful journey of life that you are on. Stay consistent in your effort, and you'll navigate that path with grace and resilience.
